Final Presentation Details
Practice Sessions
Registration for practice presentations is now live. We recommend that at least one person from your team comes by to test your app on the projector and actual device that we'll be using for the demo live so you don't run into any issues. Practice sessions are in the McConomy Auditorium. Only one person from each team should sign up for a practice session.
We will have your app pre-loaded on the device for you.
Think of this as your final dress rehearsal. You should be ready to go with your presentation. Tap on your app, run through it on stage, and get some quick feedback. You only have a 10 minute time slot so make sure that you're ready to go.
What to expect on Monday night
We will get started shortly after 7pm. Depending on how many teams submit, I expect that we'll run about 1.5 hours. I'll do a quick intro to everyone and then each team will get up on stage to do a TWO MINUTE DEMO of your app. The app will be pre-installed for you on our device (don't forget to tell us if you want iPod touch or iPad when you submit to ChallengePost). Tap your app icon to launch it, talk for 2 minutes, and then let the next team present. I'll send out the order of who submits when early tomorrow morning. If you need to present at a certain time because of classes, please e-mail me ASAP.
Who is judging
We have a couple faculty members from CMU who will be watching your final presentation and judging your submission. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to vote for their favorite app too so make sure to tell everyone you know to come! The Apple engineers you have been working with this weekend will NOT be judging. We're just here to help!
Food
We will have Insomnia Cookies for the awards ceremony along with a few snacks.
Raffle Prizes
I also have special t-shirts and Apple-branded merchandise from Cupertino to raffle to the audience.
