Tonight is the night that it all begins!
This weekend has been months in the making but tonight, Thursday September 25th, is finally the night that the iOS App Challenge begins at CMU. We're stoked to be here! This is going to be an awesome weekend.
Tonight: (Thursday, September 25th)
Meet us at 7:00pm in the Rashid Auditorium. We'll review the rules, submission guidelines, and reveal the secret API. Please try to have at least one of your teammates present, if possible. There will also be a team finding session if you're still looking for a team.
Apple engineers will be on-site in Rashid until Midnight if you would like to chat about the idea for your app, get setup to deploy your app to a device, or get any help with your Swift questions.
We have a record number of people -- over 350 -- signed up for the challenge so please bear with us as it's likely to be a very busy event. We'll have light snacks at the kick-off tonight.
Weekend Schedule:
Apple engineers will be hosting office hours on Friday night from 6pm to Midnight.
Saturday and Sunday, we'll be available from Noon to Midnight. Your code is due by 11:59pm on Sunday night.
We're also planning on hosting dinner a couple nights this weekend. Stay tuned to your email for details.
Office hours will be hosted in the Rashid Auditorium. We encourage you to actually get some sleep in between coding and before your presentation. :-)
Monday Schedule:
On Monday, our plan is to have all teams present their work to a packed audience in the McConomy Auditorium. Tell your friends now to put it on their calendar. The presentations will start around 7pm.
Earlier in the day on Monday, we'll give you the chance to do a quick practice run of your presentation. We'll send out the signup link for that on Sunday.
See you tonight at 7pm in Rashid!
